From my very first meeting with Brittany, I knew her wedding was going to be one of my all-time favorites. She has the kind of taste that makes a florist swoon… lush arrangements overflowing with gorgeous blooms, dripping with exotic beauties like phaelenopsis orchids, and anchored with tried and true classics like hydrangea and garden roses. This was a girl who knew what she wanted, and I was so on board with her as I listened to her describe her vision in detail. She wanted a simple palette of black and white with lots of crystal accents. Each detail was carefully thought through- from the striking style of the ceremony arrangements to the black chiavari chairs and lush rosette linens. You may be surprised to learn that a bride who had planned out each detail so carefully would be so down to earth and easy to work with- but she was! I think that’s the way it goes when the connection between the client and the vendor is just right- Brittany had communicated her vision to me, and she knew that I “got it.” It made it easy for me to fulfill her vision, and easy for her to trust me to do it!
I could ramble on for days about how much I loved this wedding, but I always like to get my client’s perspective to share with you. I asked Brittany a few questions about her big day…enjoy!

What were some of your favorite moments of your wedding day?
I have 3 favorite moments. My first was when Christopher turned around and saw me for the first time; I will never forget the look on his face. My second favorite moment was when Christopher and I saw all of the flowers and decor completely finished. It was a special moment for me to see my visions come to life exactly how I imagined them and for Christopher to see what I had been working so hard on planning the past year and a half! My third favorite moment was my dance with my dad. The day was so crazy and when I was able to have that moment with my dad it meant so much to both of us.

Any advice for engaged couples?
My main advice is to take time to enjoy the process. The phase of planning a wedding is such a fun and special time, don’t get lost in it because it will be over before you realize.
What you are up to these days?
Christopher and I are in the process of getting ready to rent out our house and shop for a new home to start our family in. Meanwhile, I am working on launching my new wedding and event planning business, McPherson Weddings & Events.
Your thoughts on working with Paisley Petals?
Working with Paisley Petals was nothing short of amazing. I interviewed several different florist but once I met Paula there was no comparison. At our meetings I always felt like she totally understood my visions and she was always so easy to talk to. My flowers were no easy task but Paula and her crew executed the setup flawlessly! I still get teary eyed when I look at the pictures!
Thanks so much to Brittany for sharing her thoughts!

I can’t finish this post without giving some recognition to my amazing team. This was the largest wedding our company had done so far, and it would not have happened without their hard work and dedication. Thank you to Kylie, world’s greatest Assistant Floral Designer; Dani, Lynda and Eric who served as additional set up crew for the (very long) day, Elijah who was brought on to help with the additional prep work, and my awesome wholesale team at DWF! You guys are the best!
